[BREAKING] Tyrese Haliburton’s bride-to-be shares heartbreaking tribute after her ‘once-in-a-lifetime friend’ dies on bachelorette trip

Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton's fiancée shared a touching tribute Wednesday in honor of her best friend, who died unexpectedly during her lavish bachelorette trip to St.

Barts.

Makenzi Kern died of undisclosed health complications on June 8, just two days after celebrating her 26th birthday during a trip to the Caribbean with Haliburton's future girlfriend, Jade Jones.

Jones posted a lengthy tribute on Instagram recounting some of his favorite moments with Kern over the years.

"I will always be grateful to have been able to love and be loved by someone as special as Kenzi.

Kenz was truly a light in this world, and that light will continue to shine on all who were lucky enough to know her.

I love you forever until the end of time, Kenzi," Jones wrote.

"You are truly so beautiful inside and out and a once-in-a-lifetime friend.

Thank you for always being there for me, for making me laugh until I cry, and for being such an unforgettable part of my life.

I will always miss you, but I know you will be with me wherever I go.

'See you around.'" The photographs included in the post date back to his college days.

Jones celebrated Kern as her “biggest cheerleader,” both in life and in her relationship with Haliburton.

"I can't even imagine our wedding day without her celebrating with us.

The day won't be the same without her, but I know she'll show us that she's there somehow," Jones added.

Kern's family does not believe foul play, drugs or alcohol contributed to his untimely death.

The exact cause is still unclear.
