[BREAKING] Alleged ‘ringleader’ behind drone attack plot for White House UFC event ID’d as illegal immigrant

The alleged “ringleader” of the explosive drone attack plot against the UFC event at the White House is an illegal immigrant from Mexico, the Department of Homeland Security said Thursday.

Abraham Alvarez, 31, came to the United States as a child and did not leave the country when his B2 visa expired in 2001, but the Obama administration granted him relief from deportation through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Alvarez was one of five alleged accomplices in the plot to kill President Trump and other top administration officials at the combat sports extravaganza held Sunday night on the South Lawn of the White House attended by thousands of fight fans.

The plotters allegedly wanted to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event with explosive-laden drones and then eliminate fleeing crowd members with a sniper team.

Authorities told the outlet that Alvarez was responsible for planning, organizing and directing the coordinated attack, which was thwarted by the FBI and local authorities.

“This illegal alien from Mexico should never have been allowed into our country,” Acting DHS Undersecretary Lauren Bis said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"He was the ringleader of a failed terrorist attack on UFC Freedom 250 at the White House." "He will face justice and will quickly be expelled from our country," he added about Álvarez.

Federal investigators are investigating 23 people who were allegedly part of the plot.

Those arrested face possible sentences of life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, with an additional maximum penalty of five years in prison for plotting to commit an act of violence on White House grounds.
